The Blues are currently occupying the third spot in the league having accumulated 22 points from the starting 12 games of the season. They have also done well in the UEFA Conference League winning all of their games thus far. Enzo Maresca has a tough decision to make in the upcoming games with many players catching the eye in other competitions.
Aston Villa on the other hand after a good start to the season are struggling at the moment. They are without a win in their previous seven games with Unai Emery facing a tough spell with the team for the first time. The recent run of poor form has seen his side drop to eighth in the standings having gathered 19 points so far. Hopefully, a win here can kickstart the season again for his side.
