When it comes to football rivalries, then the El Clasico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is one of the most iconic. Two giants of Spanish club football are European powerhouses with a very rich history. While the former has won La Liga a record 35 times, the latter has won it on 26 occasions.
Real Madrid also has won 14 UEFA Champions League titles, which is another record. In comparison, FC Barcelona has five UCL trophies. No matter which competition these two compete in, they are top contenders and often direct competitors when it comes to domestic competitions such as La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España.
